Summer is here

First entire week of 90's. With some humidity in the beginning to drive the heat index.

Normal is supposed to be 60's nights, 80's day.

Pruned the trees this weekend. The big magnolia, and hit the peach tree again. summer pruning on the peach to reduce its reach, and its height. to let light into the interior. A little bit more on the pines. Also time to do the boxwood hedge along the front walk.

June 22 is the longest day of the year. We'll start heating up from here, but the days will be shortening gradually. Garden is just starting to grow fast.

Next week should be cooler, more seasonal temps. Perfect leadup to the 4th of July weekend.
