Showers have moved across the area this afternoon with some areas reporting around a .25" of precip. More showers will move in overnight and by the time this system exits Thursday night rain totals will range from .35" to .75" in most areas with locally heavier amounts. The weekend is looking nice with sunshine and temps in the lower 70's but then the bottom drops out as a strong cold front arrives on Monday and drops temps into the 50's on Tuesday and Wednesday. Any rain is welcomed now but not enough to ease the drought.
