The year started with a whimper. Basement was flooded when we got home from California. Took half a year to finish that debacle with insurance claim and contractors.

Took a spring break out west and drove around between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

New neighbor moved in next door. ADM folks, 3 kids.
In the garden, peach tree is in the off year--tremendous vegetative growth. Pruned it hard several times, trying to reduce its height and spread. Hope next year fruits again. This year put in some sweet corn, brussel sprouts, bell peppers. Lots of cucumbers.
Sweet corn turned out to be too much for us to eat, but about as good as the store.
Added a water lily to the pond for the goldfish. Mimosa tree had to grow back from the base, but by end of the year, it was as tall as ever. Grew a lot of canna and butterfly bush. Garden
Summer vacation with kids on Alaska cruise. We ate real good. Like double entree, and double desserts. Highlight excursions were a seaplane flight and a drive up the Klondike highway.

Black camry getting old, getting noisy, probably falling apart 180k mi. We went hunting for a newer car to leap frog the 2001 Avalon which is near 90k mi. Our newer camry
