A beautiful weekend-perfect weather

Seasonal temps--right around 80F.

Last of the cherry tomatos ripening. Still some peppers, eggplant. A cuke here and there.
Volunteer raspberry patch not too bad. Wild blackberry started growing. Not sure I want that to spread.

Did the lawn dethatching thing. David lent me the tow-behind tractor implement. with a 70 lb. sandbag on top of it. The mower groaned pulling the load esp. uphill. But sure nuff, pulled up lots of fluffy white stuff covering the whole yard. Now to rake that all up, and add some water to keep the stress low. Get a couple bags of winterizing fertilizer. http://rodhomerepair.blogspot.com/2009/09/dethatching-lawn.html

I wonder if it will make a difference in the dead spots I've been getting each Fall.

A bit of trimming on the pine trees.
Mimosa tree is big. Crepe myrtle is grown, but doesn't look like it will flower.

Waiting for my mums to bloom.
