Louisville

Went to visit our friend's parents in Louisville. 5 hour drive.
Irv and Dora. He just had his birthday--95.

Weather was good. Fairly warm, daffodils up everywhere. Some magnolias in bloom, pears.
You could see a lot of tree limbs from the big ice storm, which knocked out power to the city for 3 days or so.

Linda is visiting for a week or so. There have been lots of visitors for his birthday, and he was sort of talked out. A bit too tired to go out to dinner. So we took Linda to Jade Palace for dim sum. A good break for her to get out of the house.

Then the next morning, we had brunch at their place. They made scrambled eggs and Peet's coffee. We picked up some scones at the Breadbasket nearby.

Then that eve, they had more people over for NCAA playoffs, and go out to dinner again.

We stayed at Ramada on Zorn Dr. Really old place, being renovated.
Next time we should try that historic inn place instead. We did get our breakfast--belgian waffles.

But, it was right at River Road, and we could drive along the river until Lime Kiln Rd and go south to 42, and there were the towers. Expensive estates along the river and Lime Kiln Rd.
This picture is from the year before--at Mojito's where they serve tapas.
